SKID

PURPOSE:To permit the application of a skid which is installed to the hearth of a heating furnace and is packed therein with refractories to a pusher system by specifying the supporting structure of said skid. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of heat resistant ceramic shape materials 2 are continuously juxtaposed in the hollow holes of outside pipes 1 formed of a heat resistant alloy, etc. along the axial direction thereof in such a manner that the respective end faces contact each other. The supporting post parts of the non-water-cooled skid pipes constituted in the above-mentioned manner are coated with heat resistant bricks 4 such as high aluminous bricks. The non-water-cooled skid pipes between the above-mentioned supporting post parts are supported by the heat resistant bricks built into a continuous arch shape from the bricks 4. The thrust load is thereby supported by the compressive strength of the heat resistant bricks built to the arch shape and the skid is made applicable to the pusher system in which the thrust load acts on the skid.
