REDUCTION OF ROLLING OF FLOATING BODY

PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency on a hull by dividing a wing ballast tank into the divided chambers in the vertical direction and transferring the ballast into the upper divided chambers, thus preventing a floating body from being harmonized with wave. CONSTITUTION:A hull 1 is divided into the center tank 2 in the center part and the wing ballast tanks 3A and 3B on the both broadsides by the vertical bulkheads 6A and 6B. The wing ballast tanks 3A and 3B are further divided into the upper and lower divided chambers 4A, 5A and 4B, 5B by the horizontal bulkheads 7A and 7B. Since the ballast, e.g., the ballast water transfers into the upper divided chambers 4A and 4B, the center of gravity of the hull rises at the portion, and the GM value is reduced. Therefore, the cycle of rolling of the hull is made longer, and the cycle exceeds the range of the cycle of wave, and the hull does not harmonize with the wave, and the working efficiency on the hull can be improved.
