SHEET WIDTH CONTROL ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To realize adequate and smooth sheet width control rolling of a thin sheet by respectively disposing a pair of cross pinch rolls which sandwich the thin sheet to be rolled and have crossed roll shafts in front and rear positions near rolling rolls for the transverse direction of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the upper and, lower cross inch rolls 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 which sandwich the thin sheet 1 to be rolled and have the crossed roll shafts are provided to the front and rear positions near a pair of the rolling rolls 8, 9 for the transverse direction of the sheet between rolling mills 2 and 3. These pinch rolls 14, 15... play the function to prevent the buckling of the thin sheet 1 by the pressing force of the rolls 8, 9 during the cross rolling of the thin sheet 1. The adequate and smooth width control rolling of the thin sheet is thus executed.
