DRIVE MECHANISM FOR TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE:To simplify operation and to scale down a device due to the reduction in functional parts by rotating reel bases through an idler gear or a fast winding gear and simultaneously driving a fly wheel. CONSTITUTION:The titled mechanism is constructed of a main motor 1 which rotates the reel bases 6F and 6R through the idler gear 5 or the fast winding gear 9 and simultaneously drives the fly wheel 7, a power motor 11 driving a drive member spring-connected with a play action member and a fast forward and rewind member, and a plunger 23 locking the fast forward and rewind action member. Through the selection of conduction or nonconduction of the plunger 23, the power motor 11 drives the play action member, and the main motor 1 rotates the reel base 6 and the fly wheel 7 at the time of play and changing programs. At the time of fast forward and rewind, the fast forward and rewind action member is unlocked, and the power motor 11 drives the fast forward and rewind action member, whereby the main motor 1 quickly rotates the reel base 6. Thus the number of parts is reduced to simplify the operation, and miniaturization can be realized.
