CAM MECHANISM FOR TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts so as to simplify operation and to improve performance by comprising a member which moves linearly by one cam and causes a head to go back and forth and a member which moves linearly or turnably perpendicular to the former member by the same cam and fast forwards and rewinds a tape due to a specific separation. CONSTITUTION:Through the use of one cam 3 a cam pin 4 formed thereon moves horizontally a shift plate 1 interlocking with the head. A ring 5 turnably moving approximately perpendicular to the shift plate 1 is driven to attain a program changing action and a fast forward and rewind action. Compared with a conventional embodiment requiring two different drive constitutions for the horizontal action of the head and for the program changing action or the fast forward and rewind action, the number of parts is reduced, and the simplification of the operation and the miniaturization of the mechanism can be realized.
