FAST FORWARD AND FAST REWIND MECHANISM FOR TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts so as to simplify an action and to improve performance by constructing the titled mechanism of a member which horizontally moves by one cam and causes a head to go forwards and backwards and of a member which moves linearly or turnably approximately perpendicular to the former member with the aid of the same cam and separates a fast winding gear and a reel base. CONSTITUTION:With the aid of one cam gear 4 a cam roller 5 formed thereon moves a head plate 2 mounting the head 1 backs and forth. Then the fast winding plate 10 making a linear movement approximately perpendicular to the head plate 2 is driven to bring the fast winding gear 11 fitted on the fast winding plate 10 and the reel bases 12F and 12R close on remote. Compared with a conventional constitution where two drive systems for the horizontal action of the head and for the separation and approach actions of the fast winding gear and the reel base are required and two cams are used, the number of parts is reduced, and the simplification of the actions and miniaturization of the mechanism can be attained.
