STRUCTURE OF TRACTION END PART OF OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PURPOSE:To prevent the break of an optical fiber core by pulling simultaneously a tension member and a sheath of an optical fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:A flexible protective tube 1 consists of the same materials as the sheath as the optical fiber cable. It is sufficient if these materials have flexibility, elasticity, and a certain degree of strength, and an optical fiber core part with a connector of the optical fiber cable having the front end where the connector is set to the optical fiber core is stored in the protective tube 1. A front end protective receptacle member 2 is attached to the front end of the protective tube 1, and a rear protective receptacle member 3 is attached to the rear end. A traction member 4 is provided with a screw with which a bolt 9A, which pierces a hole 2A provided in the center part of the front end receptacle member 2, is engaged to connect the member 4, and a rope 7 for traction is attached freely turnably.
