STRUCTURE OF TRACTION END PART OF OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PURPOSE:To facilitate traction and to prevent an external force from being applied to an optical fiber core part with a connector which is stored in a protective tube, by making the protective tube flexible and pulling simultaneously a tension member and a sheath of the optical fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:A flexible half-split protective tube 1 which is formed into a bellows with ring-shaped waves whose tops and bottoms are independent of each other consists of a polyethylene material or the like. The optical fiber core part with a connector of the optical fiber cable having the front end where the connector is set to the optical fiber core is stored in two protective tube members, and ring-shaped protective tube fixing members provided with holes for clamping by set screws in both ends are fitted to bottom parts and are clamped by set screws to join two protective tube members, thus obtaining the protective tube 1. Thus, the optical fiber cable with the connector stored in the protective tube 1 is prevented from being broken by an external force.
