Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the surface roughening of an Al alloy watchcase for a wrist watch and to provide brightness and surface smoothness comparable to those of a gold plated watchcase of mirror-finished brass by subjecting a round bar to warm or hot press forming so as to produce the Al alloy watchcase. CONSTITUTION:A round bar is made of an Al-Mg alloy manufactured with Al of 99.9-99.99% purity as starting material. The round bar is cut to a prescribed length to form a blank for press forming. This blank is subjected to warm or hot press forming and the surface of the resulting Al alloy watchcase for a wrist watch is converted into hard and bright alumite.
