PLATE-LIKE WORK TAKING OUT AND RECEIVING MECHANISM

PURPOSE:To enable the position of a plate-like work to be correctly detect and the reliability of work taking-out and receiving operations to be improved, by detecting the position of the plate-like work at the terminal portion of a transfer device by its own weight to control the vertical movement of an elevator. CONSTITUTION:Plate-like works 1 sequentially taken out are received in a cassette 6 and a table 4 of an elevator 3 is lowered. Then, the lowermost plate- like work 1 approaches a work detecting mechanism 16 at the terminal of a transfer device 2' to apply the whole of its own weight onto an operating lever 17. The operating lever 17 is pivoted by the weight to be detected by a detector 18 so that the descent of the elevator 3 is stopped and the plate-like work 1 is mounted on a transfer belt 12 which is rotated to take out and transfer the lowermost plate-like work 1. Thus, the plate-like work 1 can be correctly detected with respect to its position, taken out and received irrespective of its back condition and detected always at a certain position by its own weight so that the stopping position of the elevator 3 is not varied and the reliability of position detection and operation can be improved.
