Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To detect the position of trolley wire supporting metal fittings even under any environmental conditions day and night by fitting an optical system in the direction to irradiate the trolley wire supporting metal fittings of an electric pole without necessitating to adjust a setting-up angle of a projector. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams emitted from a laser diode 1 are made parallel beams through a lens 3 and enter a prism 4 and the optical path is bent orthogonally and advances orthogonally to the advancing direction of a truck for detection/measurement in the direction of the trolley wire supporting metal fittings fitted to the electric pole upward the truck. Next, the laser beams are reflected and diffused by the supporting metal fittings and return orthogonally to the advancing direction of the truck and are photodetected, reflected and converged by a concave mirror 5 and the optical path is again bent orthogonally by the prism 4 and made incident on a photodetector 7 passing through a filter 6. Then, the laser beams are converted photoelectrically here and made an electrical signal and enter a photodetecting level signal control circuit 8 and the necessary processing is performed there and a sure and accurate electric pole position detection signal is selected and outputted.
