PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a slanting hole and reduce the wall thickness by providing a lubricant supply hole in the same direction to the axis of a shaft on one of a pair of rings located on both sides of a thrust bearing. CONSTITUTION:A pari of rings 6 and 7 are provided on both sides of a thrust bearing 5. A plurality of lubricant supply holes 16 are installed to the ring 7 in a circumferential direction almost at equal spaces. Each lubricant supply hole 16 is bored at a position opposite to a clearance G between th body 5A of the thrust bearing 5 and a movable ring 5B and each hole is also positioned in the radius direction to the bearing 5. With this construction, the lubricant having reached the side surface of the ring 7 enters the inside of the bearing 5 passing through the supply holes 16 and well lubricates the sliding surfaces of the bearing 5 as well as the rings 6 and 7. Therefore, no slanting hole to serve a lubricating channel is required for the bearing 5, which males it possible to reduce the thickness of the body.
