PURPOSE:To put an air conditioner into highly efficient operation and obtain refreshing air-conditioned living atmosphere by controlling the capacity of a refrigerant compressor in accordance with load and equipping a control circuit for air quantity of a blower in use. CONSTITUTION:This air conditioner is connected by turns with a refrigerant compressor 1, an outdoor regenerator 3, a throttle device 7, an indoor regenerator 8 through a refrigerant conduit, is provided with a blower 11 for blowing to the said indoor regenerator 8, controls the capacity of the said compressor 1 in response to the load and is provided with a control circuit for the air flow of the said blower 11 by detecting the blow-off temperature of the indoor regenerator 8 by a detector 13. By this construction the blast quantity of the said blower 11 can be controlled in response to the capacity of the compressor 1, highly efficient operation can be carried out. When the compressor 1 starts, the blast of the compressor 11 is automatically reduced and humidity of the indoor air can be reduced rapidly in cooling operation. Unpleasant feelings caused by blow off of cool air when an air heater is in operation is protected.
