Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To aim at shortening the rise time of heating in the coldest season without the necssity of water supply, in a heater utilizing the heat generation of zeolite, by allowing exhaust gas to pass through zeolite in a zeolite charged heat-exchanger having air conditioning ducts. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas is introduced into a heat-exchanger 12 simultaneously with the start of an engine, and zeolite 13 absorbs moisture contained in the exhaust gas and generates heat. in accordance with the heat generation, air in air pipes 14 is heated to obtain heating air. Accordingly, heating is available in a short time after the start of the engine. Further, in the normal running condition of the automobile, the moisture in the zerolite 13 is removed by high temperature exhaust gas and is therefore, the zeolite 13 is regenerated while the exhaust gas and air in the pipes 14 are subjected to direct heat-exchange therebetween. With this arrangement no water tank is required, and therefore, it is possible to start heating in a short time after the start of the engine. |
