Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve production efficiency, by constituting a device such that a helical angle in automatically steplessly set by turning a guide member to be displaed on the basis of leading particulars of a tool input to a control unit. CONSTITUTION:A worm 41 is rotated through a driving gear 58, gear wheel 57 and a pinion 52 by driving a driving means, and a guide member 46 is tilted by rotating a worm wheel 47. A rack 43, being rotatable for a slider 45, holds a meshing condition with a pinion 39 even if the guide member 46 is tilted. If a main spindle 34 is reciprocated in the axial direction, the rack 43 moves with the slider 45 in a tilt direction along the guide member 46 in accordance with a movement of the main spindle 34, and the main spindle 34 rotates by turning the pinion 39 corresponding to a moving amount of the rack 43. Here the adjusting quantity of a helical angle, when it is adjusted, is detected by counting a pulse, output from a pulse coder 67, in a control unit.
