Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To automate a density gradient pipeline forming device by installing an automatic opening/closing valve to a communication part of two containers storing two solutions respectively having different density and arranging a fixed delivery pump for flowing out a solution from one container into the density gradient pipe. CONSTITUTION:Solutions having different density are stored in the containers A, B and agitators J1, J2 are respectively set up. An electromagnetic valve 3 with a timer is installed between the containers A and B and a fixed delivery pump such as a roller pump 4 is arranged in a passage from the container B up to the density gradient pipe C. The gradient pipe C is formed like a cylinder and a liquid level sensor 5 is fitted to the upper part of the pipe C. The agitators J1, J2 are started at first, and when a uniform solution is obtained, the agitator J1 is stopped and the pump 4 is started to start injection of the solution into the gradient pipe C. When the pump 4 reaches its steady state, the valve 3 is opened and outflow from the container A to the container B is started. When the solution reaches the prescribed level of the pipe C, the sensor 5 senses the level to stop the injection and the agitation of the agitator J2. Thus, the operation can be automated.
