Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To secure operational reliability for a long period of time by arranging double protective cylinders against dust and water spray around the peripheral sliding surface of a piston of a temperature sensing body for controlling opening and closing of a choke valve and a throttle valve relatively to each other. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensing substance piston 6 of an automatic choke mechanism is pushed out by the expansion of the temperature sensing substance such as wax within a housing 4 according to the temperature rise in the engine coolant introduced through a coolant duct 17 into a temperature sensing substance housing 4. This turns a cam 3 via a passive part 7 and turns a choke 1 up to a corresponding angle via a connecting rod 14 and a choke lever 13. Here, while one end of a protective cylinder 24 is fixed to a lower projection part 5 of a temperature sensing body, one end of a protective cylinder 25, being slidable between the periphery of the projection part 5 and the inner circumference of the protective cylinder 24, is fixed to the piston 6. These protective cylinders 24 and 25 are formed with materials such as plastics on which water or mud is less likely to stick. |
