INPUT SYSTEM FOR PICTURE INFORMATION

PURPOSE:To attain the input of a large amount of picture information of high picture quality in a short time by using an electronic recording medium recorded by an electronic still camera to input the picture information. CONSTITUTION:For an electronic still camera A, the picture information 1 is converted into video signals by a solid state image pick-up element 3 and then the picture information digitized by a signal processing circuit 4 is recorded on an electronic recording medium 6 through an electronic recording writing part 5. Then the picture information recorded on the medium 6 is et to a picture information input device B and read by an electronic recording medium reading part 7. This read picture information is transferred to a host computer C. The computer C performs processing necessary for registration of a data base and add the control information for registration of the data base to the picture information. These information are registered on the data base main body via a data base control part 10.
