MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain a device which sends good sounds to a television when a wide-range audio level is handled, by providing a video tape recorder having the Hi-Fi function with an automatic gain control part which controls automatically the gain of the audio input level of an RF modulator. CONSTITUTION:The RF audio signal received by an antenna is demodulated to an audio signal by an RF demodulating part 1, and either of this signal and the audio signal from a line input is selected by an input selecting part 2, and the manual operation or the automatic operation is selected for the level control of the audio signal from the selecting part 2 by a switch SW1. The audio signal passing an automatic gain control part 3 or a manual gain control part 7 is subjected to a processing corresponding to the mode of recording, reproducing, stop, or the like of the device by an audio processing part 4, and the audio signal is sent to an audio head 5, an automatic gain control part 8, and a line output. The control part 8 sets the input level varied in a wide range to a proper level and sends this set level to an RF modulating part 6, and the audio signal is modulated to an RF modulated signal there.
