ARTICLE ENTERING AND DELIVERING DEVICE IN ROTARY SMALL ARTICLE STORING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To use a tray of a width corresponding to a load and to improve storing efficiency by providing guide rolls adapted to approach and separate from each other symmetrically about the center on a turntable, thereby to clamp a load to be faced to a tray, and detecting the width of the load to decide the tray width. CONSTITUTION:A push rod 54 is positioned on the left side of a turntable, and a load 78 is fed to the turntable 26 with guide rods 61 opened at its maximum from a conveyer C. When the load 78 is brought into contact with the push rod 54, the push rod 54 is moved to the right with load receiving chains 45, 48 by a speed reduction motor 40 to draw the load 78 between the guide rods 61. After the load 78 reaches the center of the turntable 26, the guide rods 61 are moved to the load 78 by a torque motor 75 to clamp the load 78 at both sides thereof and position the load 78. At this time, a detection arm 59 is pivoted to operate micro-switches 64, 65 according to the size of the load 78, so that the size of the load is detected to deliver the load to a tray of a required size. Thus, the storing rack can be used efficiently.
