CHAIN CONVEYOR HAVING REDUCED CONTACT PRESSURE AT FRONT AND REAR POSITIONS OF MATERIAL TO BE TRANSFERRED

PURPOSE:To prevent a material to be transferred from being damaged, by foldably coupling outer and inner link plates of two conveyor chains with each other such that the upper surface of each chain is flush with the outer periphery of a roller. CONSTITUTION:A link plate 10 having a flat surface 11a at its top and integrally formed in a U-like shape opened outward, and inner plates associated with the former are secured with each other by means of a bushing 13. That is, the inner link plate 12 is foldably coupled to the outer link plate 10 at one end of a stay pin 15 in such a condition that the inner link plate 12 is inserted in the outer link plate 10 together with a chain roller 14 rotatably fitted onto the bushing 13, being overlapped with the inner side of the outer link plate 10. With this arrangement, even though a chain 16 is folded, the rollers are never made into contact with each other, and a material to be transferred may be conveyed on the roller even if the material is slipped from the outside of the chain to the rollers, since the upper surface of the chain and the outer peripheral surface of each roller are flush with each other, thereby it is possible to prevent the material to be transferred from being damaged.
