PURPOSE:To satisfy the specifications of sliding strength and to maintain the electromagnetic characteristic suitable for high-density recording by coating a coating material contg. a manetic body and having high strength to sliding on a continuous magnetic medium. CONSTITUTION:A continuous magnetic medium disk consists of a protective film 1c, a magnetic film 2c, a continuous magnetic medium 3c, an alumite film 4c, and an aluminum substrate 5c. The medium 3c is the magnetic medium having high output and low-noise characteristics and suitable for high-density recording, and the magnetic film 2c also acts as the protective film for the recording medium function and the medium 3c and has high strength to sliding. By using the medium 3c as a stratified film, the whole body is made suitable for high- density recording. Consequently, high sliding strength and the electromagnetic characteristics suitable for high-density recording can be maintained.
