Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To generate a large force for compensating a zero drift by providing a spring in abutting or connecting relation with a load terminal or lever connecting with the load terminal where a specific level ratio is obtained. CONSTITUTION:The upper end of a coil spring 18 for drift compensation is provided in abutting (or connecting) relation at a position which is close to the force point 11 of the beam 7 of the 1st stage and also provides a proper lever ratio, and the lower end of this spring 18 abuts on a base 6. The operating direction of the coil spring 18 for drift compensation is the same as the direction of the load placed on the movable part 3 of a Roberval mechanism 2, and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material of this coil spring 18 is different from those of the 1st-stage beam 7, the 2nd-stage beam 12, and members coupling the beams 7 and 12. Further, if temperature variation occurs in an electronic balance, the 1st-stage and 2nd-stage beams 7 and 12, member coupling the beams 7 and 12, and drift compensating coil spring 18 expand and contract. Consequently, their balance is lost and the force applied to the center 13 of gravity of the 2nd-stage beam 12 varies almost to cause a zero drift, but the counter force is applied by the spring 18 to cancel the drift.
