Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enable the washing of the cooler of condensed liquid for the removal of distillate of the polymerization step, effectively and economically, without using an exclusive washing apparatus, by using the condensed distillate obtained by the preceding esterification process in the continuous polymerization apparatus as the above washing liquid. CONSTITUTION:In the continuous polymerization apparatus for the production of a polymer by esterification and polymerization steps, the condensation liquid is supplied to a condenser for the removal of the distillate generated in the polymerisation step. The material deposited in the cooler for the cooling of the condensation liquid is washed and removed with the distilled and condensed liquid obtained by the esterification step in place of the hot condensed liquid used in the conventional process.
