Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having uniformly dispersed inorganic flame-retardant auxiliary in a polymer, improved workability, etc., by polymerizing a halogen-containing monomer for imparting flame retardance with an anionic radicalgenerating polymerization initiator in water dispersion of a dehydrating inorganic flame-retardant auxiliary. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, (C) a monomer (e.g., tribromophenyl methacrylate, etc.) selected from lafme retardance-imparting compounds containing phosphorus and/or halogen or a mixture of the component C and (D) a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the component C is polymerized in (A) water dispersion of an inorganic flame-retardant auxiliary (e.g., aluminum hydroxide, etc.) showing dehydrating properties at high temperature by the use of (B) a water-soluble polymerization initiator (preferably ammonium persulafate, etc.) generating an anionic radical, to give the aimed composition.
