CONSTITUTION:A saturated and branched higher fatty acid having a total carbon number of 16-22, having >=4 methyl or ethyl groups in the molecule as side chain groups, and preferably having one or or more >=3C branched chains, is esterified with glycerol, and the obtained fatty acid triglyceride, e.g. 2-(1-methyl-3-dimethyl-butane) 5-methyl 7-dimethyloctanoic acid triglyceride, is used as an oil raw material, and is compounded to a cosmetic such as cream, milky lotion, lipstick, cleansing oil, etc. to improve the quality of the cosmetic. A cosmetic giving excellent feeling to the skin, having high compatibility with skin, and stable for a long period can be prepared by this process.
