Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To attain radiation of a polarized wave EH by providing a polarized wave converter converting a linearly polarized wave irradiate from a hron into linearly polarized waves orthogonal to each other to a suitable position between the hron and a reflection mirror. CONSTITUTION:A meander-line is used in a polarized wave converter 6 as a converter converting a circularly polarized wave into a linearly polarized wave an the tilt direction of the meander-line is made the same as the direction of a circular polarized wave generator 7 and the converter 8. When the polar ized wave Ev (vertically polarized wave) shown in solid lines is incident at a tilt angle of 45 deg. on the line direction of the meander-line, the polarized wave Ev is decomposed into polarized waves EC and EL having a tilt of + or -45 deg. to the EV and orthogonal to each other. Since the polarized wave EL has a leading phase of 90 deg. to that of the EC after being transmitted through the meander-line, the polarized water EV transmitted through the circularly polarized wave genera tor 7 is converted into a right rotatory circularly polarized wave. The right rotatory circularly polarized wave incident on the converter 8 is converted into a polarized wave EH (horizontal polarized wave) shown in dotted lines by the similar principles after being transmitted through the converter 8.
