FLOPPY CASSETTE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To load a floppy cassette in such a way that unless the cassette is positioned in a prescribed direction the cassette cannot be loaded, by providing a notched section which is able to pass a lever at a cassette loading port in accordance with the shape of the lever. CONSTITUTION:A floppy cassette is formed in such a way that the upper and lower surfaces are formed to become squares and a port 11a, through which a floppy disk 12 is loaded and removed, is provided at the 1st side face, and guide grooves 11b and 11c for an operating lever, etc., are provided in both side faces adjacent to the 1st one. Moreover, inner walls 11b are provided at the inside of the guide grooves 11b and 11c between the upper and lower surfaces so as to cover the grooves 11b and 11c, and thus, dust, etc., are prevented from flowing into the cassette 11. The operating lever 13 is guided by the guide groove 11b provided in the side face on the right hand side when viewed from the front and is made movable in the transverse direction.
