Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To make accurate longitudinal crack detection with no wrong operation performable, by detecting a longitudinal crack in a belt with the best use of induced electromotive force to be produced in a detection coil at a time when a conductor loop embedded in the belt passes through the inside of the detection coil surrounding the belt. CONSTITUTION:In case of a conveyor 5, which nippingly presses a strip belt 1 with plural pincers-press rollers 2 disposed in annular form whereby both side parts 3 in the width direction are deformed into the cylindrical form superposed with each other, and conveys a lot of conveyed goods 4, a conductive material 61 extending in the width direction is embedded in the belt 1 at regular intervals along a longitudinal direction. The conductive material 61 is exposed to the belt surface at each side part 3, coming into contact with each other at the superposed part between both side parts 3 and 3 of the belt. And, a detection coil 7 is installed to surround a cylindrical belt part of the conveyor 5 at regular intervals, whereby a longitudinal crack in the belt 1 is detected in a way of whether induced electromotive force is produced or not when the conductive material 61 passes through with the progress of the belt 1. |
