UNDERWATER WELDING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To execute correctly and exactly welding of a part to be welded in the water by providing a switching circuit which detects a conduction of plural contacts installed to a welding casing, and conducts by its detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:Contacts 3a, 3b are contained in both sides of a welding casing 1, and its lower end part is exposed to the lower face of the casing 1. Each contact 3a, 3b is connected to a detecting monitor 23 on the surface of the water through covered conductors 6a, 6b. When the casing 1 is installed to a regular position, the contacts 3a, 3b contact to the surface of an object to be welded 2, the part between each of them becomes a conducting state. This conducting state is detected by a detecting monitor 23, and by turning on a lamp 24, and a buzzer 25, it is informed to a worker that the casing 1 has been installed correctly. Subsequently, the worker turns on a start switch of a welding machine 26. In this way, the underwater welding can be executed correctly and exactly.
