Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain an oxidation resistant Cu alloy wire for connecting copper wires by adding a specified amount of Al to Cu so as to reduce the amount of oxide produced in an atmosphere at a high temp. CONSTITUTION:A Cu alloy wire consisting of 0.05-1wt% Al and the balance Cu with ordinary impurities is manufactured. The alloy wire has satisfactory tensile strength even in an annealed state as well as superior oxidation resistance and is well connectible with a copper wire. An oxide film is hardly formed on the surface of the alloy wire stopped in a furnace when the traveling of a core wire is stopped during the manufacture of an enameled wire such as a formal wire. The alloy wire is useful as a Cu alloy wire for connection.
