POLISHING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain a polishing device, formed in a small size at a low price further with high polishing accuracy, for a metal mold or the like, by rotating a polishing tool to be driven by a motor mounted to a holder turnably bridged to a turnably supported mounting frame. CONSTITUTION:When an NC milling machine is used for polishing, a polishing tool 7, being tilted in accordance with the calculation value of a tilt angle in a polishing point from NC data, holds an angle with a polished surface to a fixed degree. Here a polishing device, when it tilts the tool 7, drives a motor 16 in accordance with an instruction value of the tilt angle, and if a link 13 is rotated through a gear 17, 15, the polishing tool 7, when it is of semispherical shape, rotates about the center of a sphere serving as a rotary center 101 by a parallel link mechanism formed by links 11-13. And if the link 13 rotates, the polishing device, rotating the parallel link mechanism about the center 101 of rotation serving as the center and tilting the tool 7 mounted to a holder 10 in accordance with a tilt of the holder 10 mounted rotatably to the link 11, enables the tool 7 to change in whatever attitude by rotating a mounting frame 14 through a motor 22.
