Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To recover a discharged heat in a direct ignition type deodoring process and save energy by a method wherein a hot temperature gas upstream duct and downstream duct, and a low temperature gas upstream duct and downstream duct having an opening and closing damper are arranged in each of the thermal accumulation type heat exchanger in two systems. CONSTITUTION:Discharged gas heated in a deodoring furnace 3 and having organic solvent decomposed with oxygen contained therein is guided to a waste heat boiler 4, the vapour is generated and the discharged gas having a sufficient heat is guided into the heat exchanger 20-1 and thermally accumulated in the stone materials to be filled, the heat is absorbed and the low temperature discharged gas is discharged out to the surrounding atmosphere from the discharging port 5. Then, after a proper time is elapsed, the discharged gas is changed over to the heat exchanger 20 and simultaneously the processed gas is changed over to the heat exchanger 20-1 and the heat exchanger 20-2 accumulates heat from the discharged gas and the heat exchanger 20-1 radiates the heat of the processed gas. In this way, the two heat exchangers 20-1 and 20-2 are changed over evey proper time, thereby the thermal energy of the discharged gas can be transmitted to the processed gas indirectly and saving of energy can be attained.
