PROOF PRINTER

PURPOSE:To make it possible to output data corresponding to one page at an arbitrary position on paper, at the time of output, by performing printing from the position where the data developed in page memory was moved by the amount based on the offset values set to the H-space register and the V-space counter on the paper. CONSTITUTION:At first, shift amounts in a V-direction and an H-direction are set to a V-space counter 10 and an H-space register 12. Next, V and SYNC are turned ON and always held under an ON-state during output. H and SYNC are turned ON once every when paper moves by one line and, every when V and SYNC are turned ON once, the value of the V-space counter 10 is counted down and, at the point of time when said value comes to zero, that is, at the point of time when the paper 9 moves by the offset value in a V-direction set to the V- space-counter 10 at first, a V-flag 11 is set. At the next risings of H and SYNC, the offset value in an H-direction set to the H-space register 12 is transferred to a counter 13 and the value of the counter 13 is counted down by a bit transfer CLK.
