Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To detect the total weight including the mounting weight of a vehicle, the number of mounted persons and the like, by detecting the weight of wheels by a piezoelectric sensor in addition to vehicle-type judging factors such as the number of axles, the number of the wheels and treads. CONSTITUTION:When a passing vehicle 1 pushes a pushing plate 20, the vehicle- type judging factors of the passing vehicle 1, i.e., forward movement, backward movement, treads and the like, are measured for every axle by a well known control apparatus. Meanwhile, the total load of the passing vehicle, which deflects an upper electrode, is applied to a pressure receiving plate 24 of an axle weight sensor L. Then, a piezoelectric element 21, which is supported by a supporting plate 25, is compressed. An output voltage, which is proportional to compression strain is generated by the piezoelectric element 21. The output voltage is the axle weight of the passing vehicle and detected through electrodes 22a and 22b. All the axle weights are added at the fall down of the passing signals, which are detected by a vehicle separator. The total weight of the passing vehicle is measured in this way. |
