SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To stably form a high-contrast image by incorporating a specified amt. of silver bromide, a hydrazine compd., a compd. selected from a P- or N-contg. org. compd., indazole or imidazole compd., and a purine compd. in an emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion layer contains silver halide contg. >=50mol% silver bromide; the hydrazine compd. represented by formula I, R1 being aryl, and R2 being H or phenyl; and a compd. selected from the following compds; the P- or N-contg. org. compd. represented by formula II, A being P or N, R3-R6 being alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or the like, and X being an acid anion; the indazole or imidazole compd. represented by formula III, Y, Z being N or C, R7 being H, alkyl, or the like; and a purine compd. represented by formula IV, R8-R10 being H, amino, or the like. The photosensitive material having the emulsion layer contg. said silver halide grains, said hydrazine compd., and a compd. selected from the compds. of formulae II, III, and IV can form a high-contrast image improved in dot generation.
