WATER TREATING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To remove harmful components in water and to prevent the discharge of ozone by providing a suction cylinder for sending in ozone and a specified jacket housing a sterilizing light source in a water treating tank, and decomposing the ozone leaking out above the water surface. CONSTITUTION:When water to be treated is charged into a water treating tank 1, a sterilizing lamp 3 housed in a jacket 2 is lit. Ultraviolet rays having 185mm. and 253.7mm. wavelength is transmitted in the water, and ultraviolet rays having 253.7mm. wavelength is transmitted above the water surface. Then ionized gas is introduced into the water from the blowoff port at the leading end of a suction cylinder 5, and the water is agitated. The water is deodorized by the oxidizing action of said ozone, and organic compds. are decomposed. Besides, general bacteria and colon bacilli are sterilized, and the ozone leaking out above the water surface is decomposed by the ultraviolet rays transmitting the jacket 2 above the water surface.
