Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive titled electrolytic cell which permits easy assembly by disposing specially constructed anode and cathode units on both sides of a cation exchange membrane to form a unit cell, arraying plural pieces of the unit cells and fastening the assembly from both ends by means of fastening frames. CONSTITUTION:The anode chamber unit 14 and cathode chamber unit 16 each consisting of a picture frame-like peripheral wall 1, a metallic plate-shaped side wall 2 and an electrode 4 (Ti, etc. in the case of an anode and Fe, etc. in the case of a cathode) welded via plural conductive ribs 3 to the side wall 2 are constituted. The unit 14 is disposed via a gasket 13 to one side of the cation exchange membrane 12 and the unit 16 is disposed via a gasket 15 to the other side to constitute the unit cell 17. Many pieces of such unit cells 17 are arrayed via conductive sheets 18 in such a manner that the units 14 and the units 16 are mated back to back. Current lead plates 19 are disposed to both ends and the units are fastened by means of the filter press type fastening frames 20, by which the electrolytic cell is assembled. |
