METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRESSING SIGNATURE

The device for pressing folded sheets is connected, as an independent module, after the respective last folding roll pair of a folding machine and serves sharply to press all types of folded sheets occurring in practice. The aim of the invention is to effect the pressing of individual sheets with low pressing forces and without high material consumption. The object is to feed the individual sheets to be pressed to the pressing rolls in such a manner that the residual air does not have to be displaced suddenly. This object is achieved in that the folded sheets to be pressed are guided with the backs forwards at an inclination through the pressing rolls. For the inclined guidance of the folded sheets to be pressed, upper belts with different lengths are provided.
