Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To reduce vibration of a steering wheel in the rotational direction, by designing to rotate a wheel in a toe-out direction when the wheel is forwardly moved relative to a vehicular body to thereby suppress movement of a rack shaft in the projecting direction. CONSTITUTION:A transverse link 4 is connected through a first ball joint (BJ) 5 to a spindle 3 at one end thereof, and is also connected through a pair of bushings 4a and 4b to a vehicular body. One end of a knuckle arm 6 projecting from the spindle 3 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicular body is connected through a second BJ8 to an end of a side rod 7b constituting a steering linkage 7. The other end of the side rod 7b is connected through a third BJ9 to a rack shaft 7a. Thus, the front suspension mechanism is designed so as to satisfy a specified equation concerning a length of an instantaneous rotative axis P defined between an instantaneous rotative center P0 and the first BF5, a length of the side rod 7b, and each amount of rotation of the axis P and the side rod 7b. |
