DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR TAPE LENGTH OF MAGNETIC TAPE

PURPOSE:To know the used amount or rest of a taken-up tape by reading the intersection of the wind radius of the tape and a measurement line set on a flank part of a reel on a scale. CONSTITUTION:The reel is so constituted that the magnetic cassette tape is seen through the reel; and a couple or group of measuremet lines or measurement dots which become thinner or larger toward the outer periphery according to an error in tape thickness is provided on the flank part 2 of the reel, and the intersection of them and the circular line of the outer diameter of the tape taken up around the reel is read on the scribed scale. The scale may have graduations of time of length. When the visible range in the cassette loading state does not covers the whole periphery of the reel, plural measurement lines are provided to take a read of the tape regardless of the stop position of the reel.
