GOAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR PARALLEL TYPE INFERENCE COMPUTER

PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency of communication and to improve performance by processing one of new goals formed as the result of goal processing by a processor element without sending the goal to a goal pool. CONSTITUTION:When a goal 'like (Hanako, A)' corresponding to the initial question is transferred to the processor element #0 and processed, new goal 'children (Hanako, Taro), like (Taro, Y)' and 'children (Hanako, Kazuko), like (Kazuko, Y)' are formed. Only the 1st goal out of these goals is transferred to one #n of processor elements in waiting through the goal pool and processed and the 2nd goal is processed by the element #0. Since the frequency of the transfer of the new goal from the processor element to the goal pool and that of the transfer from the goal pool to the processor element can be reduced only by one each, the frequency of communication can be reduced. Thus, the frequency of communication can be reduced and the performance can be improved.
