Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To form a film having superior corrosion and heat resistances by adding a compound of a light metallic element to a soln. contg. a silicon compound or further contg. a boron compound and by using the resulting mixed treating soln. adjusted to a specified pH. CONSTITUTION:A soln. of silicic acid or a silicate such as sodium silicate or a mixture of the soln. with a soln. of a boron compound such as boric acid is mixed with a soln. contg. one or more kinds of compounds of light metallic elements such as Al, K, Ca and Na, e.g., aluminum sulfate. A soln. contg. Sn or a transition element such as Ti, Cr or Ni may be further added as required. The resulting mixed treating soln. adjusted to >=10pH is applied to a body to be treated or the body is immersed in the soln. to form a film. By this surface treatment, microcracks in the surface of the body are filled and the corrosion and heat resistances can be improved.
