Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To increase the volume of electrolyte in cell while to prevent overflow of electrolyte when sealing thus to improve the closed circuit voltage characteristic and the leak-proof performance by impregnating electrolyte into molded positive electrode black mix then cooling to eliminate fluidity of the electrolyte impregnated into the molded positive electrode black mix thereafter assembling into a cell. CONSTITUTION:Molded positive electrode black mix 1 associated with positive electrode current collector 2 is immersed in electrolyte for 1hr then taken out from the electrolyte and cooled below -58 deg.C to freeze the impregnated electrolyte thus to eliminate the fluidity. While stainless steel mesh to be used as the negative electrode current collector 6 is spot welded while a lithium board is pressure applied to the portion of negative electrode current collector 6 of negative electrode can 5 fitted with a gasket 8 at the circumferential folded section to form a negative electrode 7 then a separator 4 is mounted on the negative electrode 7 and electrolyte is injected to be absorbed into the separator 4. Molded positive electrode black mix 1 where the fluidity of electrolyte is eliminated is mounted on it then a positive electrode cover 3 is applied to fasten the open end portion of positive electrode can 3 inwardly to seal the port thus to produce a manganese dioxide-lithium cell.
