Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a portable magnetic shielding member which is light in weight and simple in structure and can shield an intense magnetic field perfectly by employing a mesh type magnetic shielding member composed of superconductor wires, superconductor honeycombs or the like or a magnetic shielding member composed of a superconductor porous plate. CONSTITUTION:A mesh type magnetic shielding member 12 is employed in order to shield magnetically an object 11 to be shielded under the influence of the intense magnetic field of a superconducting magnet 10. The mesh type magnetic shielding member 12 is composed of a superconductor mesh 12a or a superconductor porous plate 12b. The superconductor mesh 12a is composed of a plurality of superconducting wires 13 and 14 which are lapped to cross over each other to form a mesh and each crossing point is fixed by soldering. A superconducting material such as Nb-Ti or Nb3Sn or a quadricomponent alloy superconducting material such as Nb-Ti-Ta-Zr is employed as the material of the superconducting wires 13 and 14 satisfactorily. the superconductor porous plate 12b is made of a superconducting material similar to the material of the superconducting mesh 12a and a large number of penetration holes are formed in the plate 12a to the direction of its thickness.
