GRAINING MOLD FOR SYNTHETIC RESIN SHEET

PURPOSE:To efficiently and at the same time correctly perform the inspection operation to discriminate between the good and bad of the transferability of irregular patterns over the whole part of a synthetic resin sheet by visually inspecting the irregular patterns for discrimination equipped in some portion of the polymerized surface of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:An embossing die 1 for vacuum forming consists of an electroformed shell 2, which has a rectangular form in a plane and at the same time gas permeability, and a fiber reinforced synthetic resinous body 3, which is joined to the outer peripheral part of the electroformed shell 2. irregular pattern (p) faithful to the cowhide and having stitched portions (s) is formed onto the polymerized surface 4 of the sheet in the electroformed shell 2. In addition, the irregular pattern p1 for discrimination to discriminate between the good and bad of the transferability of the irregular pattern (p) with respect to a synthetic sheet is provided in a portion (m), which is cut off and removed from the synthetic sheet, to which the irregular pattern (p) has been transferred. By visually inspecting the irregular pattern p1 for discrimination, the property of the irregular pattern (p) is discriminated. Concretely, when portions corresponding to three kinds of the stitched portions s1-s3 of the irregular pattern p1 for discrimination are clear, the stitched portions (s) of the irregular pattern (p) for discrimination is discriminated as good. Further, when the portions corresponding to groove portions g1-g2 is clear, the cowhide-like pattern of the irregular pattern (p) is discriminated as good.
