Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:A culture medium, containing a specific dipeptide, capable of sterilizing all the low-molecular culture medium components while heating, preservable for a long period and useful for cultivating animal cells. CONSTITUTION:A culture medium obtained by sterilizing an aqueous solution of a dipeptide expressed by the formula X-L-glutamine (X is glycine, L- or DL-alanine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamic acid, L-valine, L-leucine, L-serine, L- lysine or L-phenylalanine), in an autoclave and adjusting the resultant sterilized solution.
