Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the titled treating agent capable of forming a strippable layer having well-balanced properties between stripping and bonding under high temperature conditions, by reacting a copolymer composed of a vinyl monomer contg. active hydrogen and other copolymerizable monomer with a long-chain alkylketene dimer. CONSTITUTION:3-200pts.wt. vinyl monomer (A) (e.g. acrylic acid) contg. active hydrogen such as an NH2, OH or COOH group, capable of reacting with a long-chain alkylketene dimer and 100pts.wt. other vinyl monomer (B) (e.g. vinyl acetate) copolymerizable with component A, are copolymerized to obtain a vinyl copolymer having an MW of 1,000-1,000,000. Not more than one equivalent (per equivalent of the active hydrogen of the copolymer) of a long-chain alkylketene dimer is grafted onto the copolymer to obtain a strippable treating agent. The agent is dissolved in an org. solvent and applied to a substrate.
