Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain a remarkable age resisting effect (stabilizing effect) without the toxicity and the staining of rubber and without detriment to vulcanization effect, by adding a compd. contg. a cyanato group to rubber. CONSTITUTION:0.1-10pts.wt. monofunctional or polyfunctional cyanate ester contg. at least one cyanato group or cyanate prepolymer is added to 100pts.wt. rubber. Examples of rubbers are natural rubber, styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber and ABS copolymer rubber. Examples of the compds. contg. at least one cyanate group are those of the formula (wherein m is at least 1 and usually an integer of 5 or smaller; R is an arom. org. group, to the arom. ring of which the cyanato group is attached). The cyanate prepolymer can be obtd. by polymerizing a polyfunctional cyanate in the presence of a mineral acid or a Lewis acid. |
