PROTOCOL CONVERSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To connect easily a host computer system and a personal computer system by connecting both the systems via an independent protocol converter so as not change the existing software built-in the host computer system and the personal computer system. CONSTITUTION:The host computer system 6 sends a work station information to a protocol converter 5 in a form decided by the system. A protocol conversion program 51 applies protocol conversion so that the content of work station information can be processed by the personal computer 4 and sends the result of processing to the personal computer 4. The personal computer 4 displays the received information in a form decided by the computer. On the other hand, the information inputted from the personal computer 4 by the operation is subjected to a protocol conversion processing by the protocol conversion program 51 of the protocol converter 5 and the result of processing is sent to the computer system 6.
